Beer Dinner

Beer Pouring Image

We are so excited to bring the Kearney area a unique and delectable evening. Join us for a five-course dinner at the Alley Rose featuring paired beers from Odell’s Brewing Co. on March 7th, 2019.

The evening will begin with an opening classic beer at 6:00 with your dinner and beer pairing to follow. You will be hosted by Shawn Engberg of Alley Rose and Chris Anderson of Odell’s Brewing Co.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Quaffing begins with 90 Shillings:  90 Shilling is our smooth and complex flagship beer. A medium-bodied amber ale with a distinct burnished copper color and a deeply pleasant aroma. The name 90 Shilling comes from the Scottish method of taxing beer. Only the highest quality beers were taxed 90 Shillings. We think you’ll find this original ale brilliantly refreshing, and worth every Shilling.

1. Strawberry Coconut Balsamic Crostini
Sippin’ Pretty: More of a mantra than a beer, Sippin’ Pretty is our Fruited Sour Ale. Loaded with our unique blend of açai, guava, and elderberry, and balanced with a delicate addition of Himalayan pink sea salt, this beer pops with a bright ruby color and a refreshing tart finish. So sit back, relax, and sip on something pretty.

2. Scallop w/ Sweet Thai Slaw Nest
Drumroll APA:  A drumroll fills you with anticipation—much like the notes in this American pale ale. Each year we select the rock-star hops of the harvest to craft this bold, juicy, tropically hop-forward brew, drumming up a citrus-inspired rhythm for what’s to come.

3. Prosciutto Coffee Tenderloin w/ Roasted Garlic & Caramelized Onion
Rupture:  Rupture was born out of our obsession with getting the most out of each and every hop. In fact, we built a machine in our brewery to incorporate a unique fresh grind process. By grinding the whole hop we “rupture” the lupulin inside – releasing the oils that give the beer its flavor. And what we grind that day we use that day. Leaving you a beer that’s fresh, aromatic, with a bright hoppy character.

4. Chipotle Pork Belly w/ Avocado Aioli
India Pale Ale IPA: We took the traditional IPA, originally shipped from England to India in the 1700s, and made it bolder and more flavorful—American Style. We added new varieties of highly aromatic American hops to create a distinctive bitterness profile and an incredible hop character.

5. Dark Chocolate Cherry Caramel Cake
Lugene Chocolate Milk Stout: Farmers are patient and understand it takes time for some things to mature. We followed their lead with our Whiskey Barrel AgedLugene, named after our favorite farmer who has been hauling our spent grain to his dairy cows for years. We took a batch of our Lugene Chocolate Milk Stout, moved it into some Woody Creek Rye Whiskey barrels for six months. The result is a beer that is dynamic and complex, with aromas of roasted malt, dark chocolate and toffee, and a smooth but full-bodied mouthfeel with subtle flavors of rye spice and vanilla.
